Dental care patients may be eligible for Provincial or Federal Government programs that provide financial assistance or coverage. Patients must apply to the program themselves but we may be able to answer any questions you may have about the programs and applying.

Provincial Dental Care Program

If you or your family earn a low income, you may be eligible to receive subsidized basic dental treatment services under the Provincial Dental Care Program.
To qualify, you and the dependent members of your family must:

be residents of Prince Edward Island;

have an active PEI Health Card;

meet the income eligibility criteria, or be in receipt of financial assistance from the Department of Social Development and Housing;

Canadian Dental Care Plan

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) helps make the cost of dental care more affordable for eligible Canadian residents.
To be eligible you must meet all four requirements as follows, you must not have access to dental insurance,
you and your spouse/common-law-partner (if applicable) must have filed your tax returns in Canada so that your family income can be assessed for the previous year and your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000 and you’re a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
